I can't even take my girl out on a lead
she would take me for a walk.
When we take them to the beach the husband has her.
I have a muzzle for her to slow her down and find yes it does work.

Thats where check chains worked so well for me. I dont even use one now, just the flat collar but a check still works when he gets a bit toey.

I know this is a very old thread but I've been wondering ...

I currently keep a (full size) folding bike in the back of my car and ride on trails every night. Sometimes I take Truffle with me and she waits in the car with the windows down as far as I can without her getting out until I come back (Only when it's under 20 degrees and dark) then we go for a walk around the trail or the streets or whatever. If it's over 20 degrees (mind you this is usually around midnight anyway) she stays home.

I've been toying with the idea of taking her on the ride but she cannot be off leash and even if her leash skills were good enough at this to be attached I have my doubts.

    My questions are:

1/ does anyone here ride with their dog?
2/ if the dog is attached how?
3/ Am I wrong to be worried about it? I would obviously start very very very slow but i'm worried that if Truffle gets distracted she could pull be over and be impaled by the handle bars or the leash bar.

Pretty sure I won't ever do it with her but I'm curious.

    Thanks!
    Pete.

yeah I was looking at something like that but I'm concerned she could end up bring impaled by the jutty outy bit.

Anything can happen. Just last night I was riding on a flat section of the trail, changed up a gear and SNAP! the chain snapped. If Truffle had been connected to me she could have been hurt.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it but the thought does make me nervous.
