I know, it broke my heart when my mum was crying on the phone telling me what was happening. Being so far away from them most of the time there was nothing I could do to help them.

Installing the cameras for them was the only passive defense I could think of, short of standing on their veranda keeping watch.

    Best of luck.
Depends on your State. In NSW police can apply for one, but generally will leave it up to you unless a criminal offence is involved or the victim is under 16.

I hate poo dumpers, I had a nieghbour who used to do that until I invitied him in to see the secure pen my dog lived in, as well as that my dog at the time was small and not responsible for the ENORMOUS poos he used to throw onto our driveway!!

Best of luck with it all. I also hate bad neighbours - worse than bad relatives!!

If you do write you letter, maybe you can say that you are installing surveillance cameras. Instead of saying it as a threat to the neighbours, say it in the sense that you will be watching the dog and further ensuring no bad behaviour.
But it might be a hint for them to pull their heads before they get caught out doing something silly!
