    Black Hawk Professional.

Why? Cause Newfsie uses it and recommends it !!! Good enough for me !!!

She has done some research on it and while it looks bland Mojo loves the stuff.

I'm currently feeding Black Hawk Holistic...

I was feeding Nutro Natural Choice - which is good too.

Black Hawk has tiny kibble - works well in a bob a lot toy, doesn't work at all in a squirrel dude - falls straight out with no effort on the dog's part.

Nutro has bigger kibble pieces - works well in a squirrel dude and would probably work in a bob a lot (you just make the hole sizes bigger).

Just a thought but if the Black Hawk does fall out try smothering it in peanut butter. Mojo loves peanut butter.

I'm also a fan of Blackhawk, I was feeding my dog Royal Canin Boxer dry kibble and after 6 months she was eating some days, leaving some days. Since I bought Blackhawk she's always loved it. I find it more economical as well, less than $100 for 20kgs, it lasts a loooong time!! Lots of good natural ingredients.

Do they eat less? Not if they have any say in it.

It does depend a bit on the pack. For comparison, black hawk (adult) says for target weight 20 to 25kg feed 200gm to 250gm per day. Given my dog is desexed - I can cut the recommended dose back by up to a third... but she gets a lot of exercise (1 to 2 hours a day). But I also feed two bits of sardine or half a tin with the 150gm of kibble, the other 50gm kibble - goes in the bob a lot.

I also feed 450gm of a casserole I make. If I'm feeding that, I only feed about 75gm of the black hawk - and incorporate kibble as training treats, and in the toys. There's less crap with the casserole mix and more if she's on all kibble.

I can't fill the squirrel dude with peanut coated kibble - because if she can't get the treats out fast enough for her satisfaction - she bites the bum off the dude and gets them that way. And then it's just rubber chunks not a treat toy. Peanut coated kibble lasts a bit longer in the black kongs... but kongs are pretty easy. I find frozen kibble or chicken in those works best.

Every now and again - she closes the kibble dispensing hole of the bob a lot - no idea how she manages this - and then she does get quite mad at it. Eventually she works out something is wrong, and picks the whole thing up and gives it to me and I fix it up for her.
