Thread: Jack had a seizure tonight

Default Jack had a seizure tonight

Out of the blue Jack had a seizure/fit tonight. I'm sure it's to do with whatever his underlying health problem is, but overall lately he's been in quite good shape. It was horrible to watch, all we could do was hold and comfort him while he fitted and panted, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth, drooling and also lost control of his bladder. He's come good now, although his behaviour is not quite right, he keeps wandering around not quite sure where to be(or not able to get comfortable, i'm not sure). only this afternoon i had booked him in to get his annual shots and checkup, i guess that will be brought forward to tomorrow now.

That is young for a seizure...poor Jack. I might have thought a toxin of some sort except that you mentioned an ongoing problem.
How long has he had whatever the underlying health problem is and is he being treated for it? I might postpone the vaccination if he is unwell, just as you would postpone it in a child that is unwell.

Please let us know what the vet suggests.

Oh poor Jack And you guys too, I would be horrified if that was Harley or Bella. Hope the vet can sort something out and it doesn't become an ongoing thing!
