Default Suicidal cat. 8 lives left and counting !!

Big white fluffy thing thinks it owns the 'hood'.

I've told the owners it's sussing out the guinea pigs. Not that it could get them......it's more that a giant guinea pig with a tail is likley to eat the cat if the lazy bugger catches it.

It keeps coming back. 2.30am i get the wet nose headbutt (mojos way of saying let me out for a wee). Luckily i saw it first and hissed at it to bugger off. It shot off and under the fence with Mojo about a foot behind it. If he see's it before me i dont know what will happen.

Now you may know that i'm no fan of cats but i really dont want to see it hurt or killed. I've warned them...what else can i do.??

Wait in ambush with a hose...

There are various methods supposed to deter cats - orange peels, coffee grounds, certain plants (which smell... unpleasant), but usually the hose works particularly well.

LOL i didnt think of that....i should have , i hose the neighbours little yapper all the time. Well, only after he barks for 10 minutes straight !!

I cant go putting down anything to bad otherwise Mojo will cop the bad smells or tastes. Bit unfair since it's his yard.

I do remember watching a you tube video of a bloke who set up a trap that squirted a hose. I'll have to see if i can find it. It was bloody funny.

    Thanks for the tip Asaris

i'd be very surprised if Mojo actually succeeds in catching the cat. Cats are deceptively quick and often just tease dogs before shooting up a fence or tree

Thats what i thought but it lives with a boxer and a Labradoodle that dont touch it. With me giving it a big heads up Mojo nearly got him suprisingly. Maybe it's just toying with him. Either way it's gotta stop just incase it does get the kids Guinea pigs or even just stresses em out.

I found the video but there's no way i'm going to all this effort.

Even though I have cats, it really bothers me when people let their cats wander - we have a few, one of which used to p*ss on my front door - luckily for the neighbour, I never worked out who owns the bloody thing.

I wouldn't worry too much for your guinea pigs - so long as the hutch is secure. We have two guinea pigs, who love to intimidate the cats

There are things you can buy, they look like a silhouette of a cat with reflective eyes, supposed to deter cats by making them believe there is another cat already in residence. I would imagine with a bit of handy work, it'd be easy to make something similar.

Awww converse buddy, you have a dilemma huh? I doubt your gonna up up at whatever hour of the night waiting for a cat with a hose... I've chased down a nasty cat with a mop, was fighting him with the mop but he was pretty keen to fight back. lol. I don't condone hitting animals with stuff in any way but this is the only cat i've ever hated so i was fighting it and it just wanted to fight me.

I don't really know what you can do... it's the owners own fault, you've warmed them. There not meant to keep there cat outside at night anyway.
No one loves you like your dog does.

I watched the video, but all I could think was McGyver could have done that in half the time using six rubber bands, a bit of orange peel and the guts of a broken transistor radio...

I suppose I'm showing my age.
