    Default Labrador cross Ridgeback?

So I was doing some googling today and found a photo of a labrador cross ridgeback and it got me thinking that maybe that might be what Molly is crossed with? She's quite lean and tall and definitely has the ears of a ridgeback! And there are heaps of labs and ridgebacks in this area!

Thought I'd post some photos of some lab x ridgebacks and some photos of Molly and see what you guys think!

What also stands out to me is that these black lab cross ridgebacks don't have any white on them and neither does Molly whereas most black lab crosses I've come across have had some sort of white on their chest

I know a lot of lab crosses with no white at all..many lab cross BC's are pure black, just like my Golden cross BC........Colour says nothing. There is only one way, view the parents. Or maybe DNA, but I am not sure about that one at all...I have seen some suspect results of known breeding dogs.

As long as you love her, she is a beautiful Lab cross

Yeah.....kinda looks like it. She has those longer thin legs like a Ridgy.
Here's a quick little flick about Ridgies. Might be worth watching to see if Molly has any of these other traits too.

Yes we do love her Just curious as to what she is! Viewing the parents isn't a possibility as she was a rescue and I've been thinking about DNA testing but I don't have a spare $180 lying around (I'd have to get both dogs done, not just one haha). Thats interesting about a lot of solid black lab crosses, I've never really met one without white on it but I haven't really met too many!

Thanks for the video Sean Just looking at the ridgeback makes me think of her now! They definitely run the same way as on that video and she has non stop energy - we can be at the park for 2hrs playing with other dogs, get home and all she wants to do is run around and play more.. she NEVER stops! And they do have the same body shape and legs! I guess I will never know for sure but it would be nice to tell people what she's crossed with when they ask.. or at least what we think she might be crossed with haha

We had a Rhodesian Ridgeback when I was just a sprat. I remember my dad running her next to the car and we clocked her at 35 miles an hour. I was around 3 when we got her and we had a photo of me riding her horse style. She was a lovely natured animal and never once hurt either myself or my brother.
