    Default My bitza

No pics at the moment, but I have noticed lately, when Oskar gets a bit on edge, he seems to have a ridge down his back....Is this a trait specific to ridgebacks or do other breeds get them...I am getting more interested in DNA testing just to see what my little mixed bag is. I am just curious.

I can email you the results of Hooch's DNA test so you can see what you get for you money. costs 90 bux. It is very cool and they seem to have gotten it right.

wouldn't that just be his hackles raised? Dodge does that occasionally, and Koda often does it when he is playing roughly with Dodge it looks so weird cause he has long fur

I suppose so.....I have had people in the past ask if he has Ridgeback in him, the people we got him off were nice but a bit dodgewah!! The bloke was a bit of a weedy creep. Oskar's parents were good looking though.

Yeah well it would be interesting to get a DNA test done, its possible he could have ridgeback in him
but i would say the ridge on his back is just his hackles up, i used to think dogs only did this when they were acting aggressive... but apparently they also do it when they are even slightly on edge, or when they're overexcited

Scooby, my ridgeback cross had a ridge but only when he was pissed off. Then it would kinda dissapear but the fur was still just a little darker.
Now Mojo will raise his hackles when he's cranky pants too but the diffrence between Scoobs ridge and Mojo's hackles and like chalk and cheese.

Your avatar pic of Oscar always reminds me a bit of Scoob when he was younger. Unfortunately all my pup and young pics of Scooby arnt on my computer.
He could very well have a bit of 'Lion hunter' in him.
