Thread: German Shepherd Female

  1. #1

    Default German Shepherd Female

Up for adoption is a 2-3 year old German shepherd female by the name of Pixie who was rescued not long ago. She was captured as an escapee and her owners never retrieved her from the pound. She was incredibly skinny and was hit by a car but has since fully recovered in my home and is ready to meet her new family. Pixie is a very loving dog who just wants to be around her family all the time and loves nothing more than to lay at your feet all day. She loves kids (though she can be very boisterous so preferably older kids), and is very cat tolerant given the right introduction. She has separation issues so her new family must be willing to have her as a mostly indoors dog. Due to her separation issues she also has a high tendency to escape so you must have high fencing, unable to be climbed by her. Although she is usually very good with her toiletting, she will need some patience from her new owner as she has had a few accidents. Despite this, she has a lot of love to give to a new family and is very willing to please with her loyalty and obedience skills, it is a regretful decision and she is only up for adoption due to moving into a townhouse that does not allow pets. All I'm asking for her is the adoption fee that the RSPCA has charged of $270, which includes desexing and microchipping. Good idea though to have a price. It deters people from getting free dogs and selling them on or god forbid using them as bait dogs for fights.

My son's mate in Wagga had his dog stolen and police found a dump site where dog's bodies were dumped and his dog was amongst them. Not the same thing as this I know but if it happened near here then it is happening elsewhere.

Ah thanks for that, I wasn't sure where to put the ad as I'm not sure if she was bred by a registered breeder.

RSPCA adoption fee for adult dog in Vic maxes out at $230. Not sure what it is elsewhere, or which RSPCA this dog was "rescued" from.

There is a dedicated GSD rescue.
