I had to look them up, never heard of them and I do read.

    Vampire stories. Pass thanks.

I guess I'd read the Anne Rice ones first and after that all the others would seem a bit same same.

I've ummed and ahhhed over getting the books. I love the series and I've been told while series kind of follows the books series 2 is completely different.
OH read them and ranted and raved everytime I told him about something that happened in the show lol
"Thats not supposed to happen like that, that persons not in it, I cant believe they did that, lalalalala I'm not listening" etc

I've read the whole series, think it's 9 books now! I love them.

The tv series is great too, although some of the scenes are rather ummm steamy, so much so that I'd be embarrassed to watch them in the company anyone!

Yes it's True Blood, the tv series is a bit different to the books, there are characters in the tv series not in the books, and for once I don't think it changes the enjoyment of either medium.

Whereas I watched the first Twilight movie when I'd never even heard of the books, and thought it was one of the worst movies ever! Won't be watching New Moon. However I was persuaded to try the books and I just loved them, I've read all of them.

I don't like the Twilight storyline and only watched the movie to have a purve on the eye candy.

The true blood collection is nothing like Anne Rice it's more than just vampires, it's everything from shape shifters, to telepathy, Were's and everything in between
