We have decied to have one litter, after which our four legged friend is getting desexed, we have given the puppies more love than you (by the sounds of things) have given your dog in its lifetime. Yes, another person in this forum has said it right...we have done a lot of research and I for one think that we are doing very well for 'backyard breeders'. On the topic of career choices, i'd hate to be a bitter twisted professional breader...must suck to put food on the table, take your kids for overseas holidays, put your kids through schooling and maybe have enough life experience to want to take on the lovely things in life (one of which being having a litter of puppies and finding them very suitable homes).

Belinda, you mentioned that professional puppies breed to order... just like professional artists create art to order (I bet they really love what they do too, it sounds like the 'professional breaders in here do'). On a closing note, we were warned by a professional breader friend of ours (owner of the daddy stud with papers for our mummy with papers) that this industry is full of ego driven bored people who like nothing better than shit in other people's business. On this note bye all, been fun - get a life.

    How do i delete forum/account/etc...?
    Hehehe you're funny!

I'm glad you can tell how much I love my dogs from a single post too! Unfortunately for you I'm not a breeder and I'll never be one. I chose not to put my little girl through the trauma of having puppies for my own selfish reasons. And after volunteering my time in a shelter bringing more dogs into the world is the last thing I would want to do anyway.

We have a couple of breeders on this forum, none breed for the money more so for the love of their breed. There actually is no money in breeding. After you pay for all of the health checks etc of parents and puppies not to mention man hours spent planning litters, looking after puppies and screening buyers they almost always end up in the red after all the puppies are sold. Breeding should be done to better the breed. Please do ensure you get your dog spayed ASAP.

Get over yourselves here - the OP posted an expression of interest - as far as I saw it initially.

As the OP stated - 'The pups are only 3.5 weeks old' ! It is not illegal for the OP to post an expression of interest!

If there are pups that have not been sold after - as the OP has stated 6 weeks - but legally after 8 weeks - then yes then the OP must state what pups and their microchip number are still to be sold!

My only worry here is - 'zgnilek' - is that you say that all the pups will be on 'Full Register". I think that you misunderstood what I initially asked you - regarding 'State Canine Control Council in your state'.

Full register to me means that anyone that gets any of your pups - can breed them - without your permission.

I feel it would be better to put the pups on limited register.

Good Luck - they are definitely good looking pups !

Thank you, first bit of useful advice... no the pups are not being sold for breeding purposes, we are making sure that all of them are going to family homes (backyard, kids, loving environemnt, etc... - part of the reason we didn't advertise them cheap, we wanted to attract people who actually want and understand the commitment of a Golden Retriever. This includes the affection, exercise and guidance this breed needs.). I will not be registering the puppies with this register so that they are not bred with my knowledge. In fact, I will go one step further and will discuss an offer to reimburse the people that buy our puppies for half the desex procedure once it's completed (when the pups are older and after they left us).

A post of this manner is what I was hoping to find from this forum (along with maybe an interested party for one or two pups), better late than never - thanks!

From head to toe! Hahaha as I said, please spay your dog!

Also we can generally be a helpful bunch of people, but when you come in all guns blazing after a simple comment it is hard to take someone seriously!
