I read the headline as "staff" as in "employees" wandering the streets NYE.

If you have found a dog, please take it to the nearest vet to get it checked for a microchip. And let your local pounds or RSPCA know that you have it so they can inform the owner. The first place owners who lose their dogs call - is the pound.

Well as a person who has common sense of course i googled bribie island animal control on my iphone (this is not my first encounter with a stray). Dakabin Pound and Caboolture animal control came up OBVIOUSLY, it being NY Day i got no answer, tried enticing the dog to my car, so at least the fact that the beachfront was near the main road it was in danger of getting run over. The walk from where the dog was to my car was a 20min walk in which the dog took off and headed back in the other direction i am absolutely riddled with guilt as i have just returned from my NY outing that i thought i would at least make a post incase some poor owner is looking for his dog not looking for some smart ass comment
