No he didnt have mange, what made me angry, well lots of things made me angry that day, but I offered to take him straight to my vet and bring back the report, as they didnt have a vet on duty... they refused... it wasnt until I rang the police that they relented and let me take him.... if I hadnt heard him from the car park I would have gone home without him, because they also told me no stafford had been brought in, to which I replied... come on You have my dog, that's him screaming now... lol..

    Keysborough? Isn't that in Vic?

The NSW pound system is completely different to other states for the most part. For starters, they can not withhold your dog for any reason (unless it is a breach of Dangerous Dog legislation).

    Victorian pounds are completely different.

The dog in the OP was found in south west Sydney, NSW.

Personally, I'd prefer my animals were held by the Vet or pound, who would then contact me and as my details are up to date, I would be notified within a short period of time. My dogs do not wear collars and never will. Being brachy breeds, I'd prefer not to have collars on them.

    That happened to me once.

My old girl Chevy ended up in the pound, I cant remember how or why...anyway, I rang and said have you had a black and brindle staffy x brought in. They told me no. I decided to go in and have a nosy anyway.

As soon as I pulled into the car park, Chevy heard the car and starte going crazy an I heard her.

Went up to the reception and again asked about her, They still said no. I said "well I can hear her out the back so Id like to have a look thanks"".

Went an dgrabbed her and he was like "oh you said black AND brindle"....reckoned he ha heard "black brindle"...but wouldnt ya think about the black and brindle dog too....

    Thumbs up

If I see the dog, I will contact with you. Don't be sad. The little dog must be healthy and safe. Maybe, it will go back home some day.

I don't think a pound puppy would live very long in China based on something a Chinese person told me when explaining why he wouldn't take his beloved GR home to China.
