Called the home phone back and asked for Luke or Natasha and explained why I was calling, this time the man on the line then said that he was the stepfather of Luke and Natasha was Lukes better half and they use this home phone number for messages and a point of contact as their mobile numbers were unreliable. He was much more helpful this time around and I then left my mobile number with him and asked if Luke could call me back.
A few minutes later he calls me back and tells me the dog they found was a female staffy named Cleo which corresponded with the pounds report.
My local vets got it wrong again and I've hit another dead end.

I got three callers today one, saying a lady had found a brindle male staffy handed into gosnells pound when I rang them they had no idea or was to lazy to check anything out for me.
Second call was a fella who said he had my dog and found it roaming on spencer road. The guy gave me his address and I went around there with a friend, when i got there a young fella came out and looked a bit surprised when he saw me and my friend, I asked him about the dog and he said you have got the wrong house.
I called the mobile number back and he said i had the right house and he just went out to his cousins house and asked if i could comeback tommorrow, I then asked him where the dog was and then he said he wasnt sure if it was at his house or his cousins. I realised this guy was full of it and left, I think think they were trying to pull a scam on me.
The third call was from a couple who asked me if the reward was still on offer and when i said yes they said they had my dog. I asked for an address but they said they would rather meet me somewhere. I was very very suspicious of this couple and was thinking that they were related to the second caller.
I started asking them questions about the dog they found and when i asked whether the dog had balls they said no and it was female.
I was furious and ready to kick heads by this time.
I then went to check out the Gosnells pound and in the the pictures I saw a dog that I'm 70% sure that my dog, its a bad picture and was taken with the dog in a cage.
The dog was impounded on the 14/08/09 thats 3 days ago why wouldnt they call and why didnt they check when i called today. I am mega pissed and they are going to cop a mouthful if that is my dog!!!!

I wish you luck with finding Obie... It is sounding very frustrating with the runaround you are having..

Keep my fingers crossed for you..

My sister has 2 Staffys, 1 is a Brindle called 'Cola'. They are very affectionate dogs..

The dog at the pound was very aggressive and was too big to be my boy.
And I have no new leads or calls. I have continued the ads in the papers with the $1000 reward but my hope is now very thin and am facing the fact that I'll never see him again.

For the last month he's the first thing that pops in my head when I awake and the last thing when I go to bed, it feels like someone has ripped a piece of my heart out of my chest and has left an empty hole behind.
The only hope I have is that the scum bag he is with loves him very much and treats him well.
