I have a pretty fancy one, as it is - just like this. . It pretty close to gym standard.

It does the auto incline and plenty of other stuff, so it is more than sufficient. I have had Chopz on it a couple of minutes a day for the last few days, and he seems to be going well. He is not phased by it, or scared of it by any means. I have to do a vid of him once he has had a bit more practice!

So I was having a bit of a look around the net and found a link for training your dog to use the treadmill. If you are interested in a literature form prior to V&F's super video cameo apprearance.

Treadmill Training Your Canine Instruction Part 2 - Part 2

Let me know if you find them useful or not I had a bit of a read and they seem pretty straight forward instructions...

    Those articles are excellent Belinda!

My videos are coming! First the lighting was bad, then the SD card was full. Then all my dogs wanted to do was mug for the bluddy camera... Then the battery went flat! Argh!

It's all about small steps, go too slow- that's ok. Progress too quick and you'll bungle it! The only difference for me is the use of a harness... And my dogs aren't up to jogging yet. That's what you get for having gangly Dobes *grin*

Those articles were quite good, I thought.

    And the video pretty hilarious.

I've got both my boys doing very short spurts on the treadie now, but we are working on a bit more control. It's coming along slowly!

Still looking forward to your vids V&F
