    Default Dog Trainer Course

Just wondering what you people think whether the NDTF course is worth its money?
I am thinking of doing the course because from what I read on the internet it is one of the few courses where you not only do a lot hands on training but also learn about dog behaviour, their sensory systems etc. That is really what I would like. I read this on their webpage but can anyone confirm that this is the case?

I think you'll find she's looking to do a course for herself, not sell out to one of the internet fad "train your dog in 5 minutes" systems.

Hippo, I haven't heard anything about the course you're looking at, but just offering some support

GoodiesGirl is right, but thanks Mark anyway for replying. I send the application for the NDTF course away and wait for the response. There are a few other issues why they might not take me (I am not a permanent resident ). I will see...

Hello Hippo, I'm currently completing the NDTF course at their Boronia centre with theory every month and I finding this course very interesting, I will say that this course is full on and you do need to be fully committed. The course does explain the different training techniques you could employ and explain dog behaviours.
Every weekend you will be spending 3 to 4 hrs with a training centre. With the course you will meet alot of different people within the dog training field where you can use your 100 hrs that you need to complete, to observe how they run their programs and gain experience.

You could also try the Top Dog Course. Their website can be found at:

Top Dog K9 Trainers Academy - Top Dog K9 Trainers Academy

The offer their course as a correspondence course also.
