    Default Task9

    Hi all,

I came across this Tactical K9 group recently -has anyone heard of them?

They look like law enforcement/military type trainers/breeders.

Let me know if you've had any dealings with these guys please.

    Regards

    Rick

Law enforcement train their own dogs from puppies, same with defence force and customs.

So they might train guard dogs.

I'm a bit wary of anyone who trains dogs to be aggressive. This is illegal in most states - police officers being an exception.

I'm also wondering why you'd ask about them, when the website page clearly states they don't do domestic work like obedience or behaviour problem retraining.

Ie they don't help pet owners like most of us.

BUT..........Boyd Hooper is great. I have sat through many of his lectures and some of his demo's with dogs. I am sure some others here have too.

I am interested in Rescue and I would have great faith in them, but I do think that they are for professional teams.

Just as long as they're not like that sydney mob who ruins dogs. It can be hard to tell just by looking at a website. And the sydney mob frequently have stooge posts to drum up business, and it looks like OP's post.

It's good to read their principal knows what he's doing.

They are a highly specialist group of handlers, trainers etc. If you PM me with why you might be interested, perhaps I can give you more information.

They are not, they are really good.......

I have a friend who works in Rescue and she has had a lot of one ot one Training with them. But they are serious dog Trainers.
For dogs that have jobs to do.

If I would become a Official Rescue person, that is would be where I would go.
