I also have him sitting next to me and I roll the ball down the passage way.
I tell him to wait and he stays there along side of me. And no I am not holding him.
When the ball has come to a stop I say go. He takes off after it and brings it back for more.
Then sometime I just let him do the chase right away.
It keeps him guessing and he has pick this up so easy.

On the 18th of this month we have got puppy classes.
It is only 4 times and each runs for an hour.
The cost is $80 and it is at one of our local vets.
I know people have said not to take him there due to really the main animals that go there are sick ones.
But we have no choice in it as it is the only one here.
It means bite the bullet so I can have him better in tune with other types of dogs or leave him like he is and just hope when he is older that he will tolorate other dogs.

My minis went to a puppy school organised by a local vet hospital. I did not meet any sick puppy there and I found the school was very good. Yes I would have preferred a puppy school by a dog training club though....
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

And I think.... even IF there are unwell dogs.. they will not be infectuous.
So ANY socialisation is better than none. .... and sometimes people tell stories....

My little Marley, who never went to puppy school tells a story of ongoing "bark, bark, bark".....
