    Default Jumper

My dog Isaac is a bit of a jumper and when people come over Isaac will start jumping on them. I can't think of how I can train him to stop it.

From what i've read and been told, get yourself and your guests to turn their back away from your dog when it starts jumping and even after it stops, ignore it. Let some time pass and then treat the dog normally.

I'm sure someone else here can correct me if thats not right or offer some better advice

    Thankyou for the advice whit3tig3y.
I have told my guests that but they seem to think its cute. What should I tell my guests?

whit3tig3y is correct If this doesn't work, you could put a leash on him and stand on it so he can't jump, and ask the guests not to encourage him.

I also used time outs while Leo was learning (And still is sometimes LOL) not to jump on guest. I would tell my quests they must ignore him, turn there back/fold there arms. If Leo still jumps he is put in the kitchen behind a baby gate for 1-2 minutes (And actually now its the bathroom as he managed to clear the baby gates about 3 months ago!) He has learnt its much nicer to be part of the group and sit calmly and then get pats, than jump and end up in the other room alone.

Has anyone else used this method?
