Default Here We Go Again.... Sigh.

Ive copied and pasted it because I couldnt be bothered writing it all again.

Im in the middle of teaching Bella to dance(stand on hind legs and spin), but she only spins about a quarter of the way. I have already taught her to stand on her hind legs(Up)d i have taught her to spin separately (Spin) so I put her into an Up, and gave the signal for spin while she was up. She did what I asked, but now I want to get her to spin all the way around. I have seen her do this before, but not when I asked, so I dont think it is a matter of balance. I click whenever she spins. I cant get her to go all the way around. I try and withhold the click, but she doesnt try and go any further. What should I be doing?

I am getting there; but I decided to make a new thread because I would like to hear some more responses. Im getting a 3-quarter still but only when I do it really slow, holding it right next to her mouth, but I want to get it really good, with out me practically holding her face. I also want to get it down every time.

On a side note, shes doing great at DT. Im getting sits almost 100% of the time and when I dont I get a sit when I ask for one. Im een getting soem drops and stands aswell. We started our first lot of offlead work on Wednesday; sits stays with the lead on the ground. Bella aced it of course
We were about 6 meters away; I was very proud of her Im getting quite a few downs there aswell, which is great!!

You two sound like you're putting lots of work into your training - and having fun too which is nice.

I did post this in your other thread but don't know if you saw it:

Have you tried making a circle around her head with a treat while she's up? Just to give her the idea of a full circle? She might not be connecting the command for spin with the same action while she is up.

    Does that make sense?

But it sounds like that might be what you're already doing.

I am glad to hear that you are making progress!

I have no advice sorry, as I have not taught any of my dogs this trick yet.

But, I am eagerly waiting for responses too!

    All the best, Boxerini.

    Aww, that sounds so cute!

Pipi goes absolutely crazy when I pull out the clicker and starts doing the tricks I want her to do even if I don't ask lol.
