Default Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Im in the middle of teaching Bella to dance(stand on hind legs and spin), but she only spins about a quarter of the way. I have already taught her to stand on her hind legs(Up)d i have taught her to spin separately (Spin) so I put her into an Up, and gave the signal for spin while she was up. She did what I asked, but now I want to get her to spin all the way around. I have seen her do this before, but not when I asked, so I dont think it is a matter of balance. I click whenever she spins. I cant get her to go all the way around. I try and withhold the click, but she doesnt try and go any further. What should I be doing?

Do you mind?! Rude much?! If you dont like what I am doing, dont comment! Its not hurting her, my dog enjoys her sessions, she refuses to even try the tricks she doesnt like!

Choppa, I am rewarding her whenever she goes to do a turn, so if she does a quarter, yes. I have tried withholding the click, but when i ask her to do it again she doesnt.

mmm.....so really though , to her little mind, she is doing just what you are asking. You will need to with hold the click until you get the full turn or an attempt to go further then the quarter. Try not to keep rewarding the quarter turn

yep I agree with chop. And when you want her to do it, get her to start with spinning then ask her to dance. Just a thought.

Breeding, Showing, Training and general crazy making!!!

Who is the moderator on this forum? Are we subject to censorship/gagging? So, if you do not like someone's opinion or statements, you just remove them? I think this is abhorant. Do we all have to agree with each other? What kind of mentality is this? A sheep mentality? No one ends up learning anything this way. You want to give your dog dancing lessons? Take it to dancing school!
You make fun of people who genuinely love and care for their dog(s) by saying they treat them like humans and yet all of you agree that teaching a dog to dance is normal We're in b****y kindergarten here!!
It's not a good idea to restrict the forum to the over 18s but it is a good idea to have an over 18s section??? WTF?? Where is the logic????

Melba, try reading the forum rules. I have no idea what you said, but for a moderator to delete it completely (and the subsequent reactions), I'd have to say it was pretty bad. No one learns anything when people are insulting and rude. If you do not like the way the forum is moderated, it is very easy not to come back

Silver, what answer is that? How do you know I was rude? You admit you didn't see what I wrote. So, with all due respect, please refrain from commenting.

You are entitled to your opinion but could you possibly keep them a little more encouraging? You don't have to like the idea but you can still support your fellow members through and through..

I am sure many people here would do the same for you.
