haha. I love that guy. I have yet to see an ep where he uses violence or abuse to get the animal to do what he wants it to. He may use a bit of force, but not enough to hurt the dog.

The videos don't work for me either, but I'm using firefox. They work with explorer. They should, at least.

There is NO SUCH THING as alpha dog, at least not among those who live with us and have been tame for centuries. Anyone who has ever bothered to scratch under the surface and to read a bit about the way dogs live, function etc. would know it. There are however breeds and individual dogs who are more strongheaded than others, more stubborn and harder to train and we like to call them "dominant", which is also quite wrong.
I don't really feel like bragging about it again, as I already have several times on this forum, but there are some great books about the way dogs function, about the way they evolved from wolves (not yet 100 % proven ). I think everyone should read them including this "#%&' Cesar Millan who is nothing but pathetic show off. Those 3 video clips are perhaps a bit exaggarated, but there is abuse on every corner by people who listen to his crap.
I suggest everyone reading Coppinger's "Dogs" and see wher dogs are coming from, the ethology, what they are and how they function. We live with dogs, and dogs aren't wolves.
It's really sad that we humans have a face to call dogs our best friends, and behave towards them like thei're c*ap.
