I think the "danger" is when people think they are doing the right thing from watching the show and instead they ruin their dogs...if you get my drift. That goes for both Cesar and Victoria. Cesar clearly states...do not do this unless you have consulted a professional.
I think Cesar comes across assertive...whereas Victoria comes across arrogant.

I definitely didn't mean to imply that Victoria is better/different, sure she has different methods (Yes I've watched both shows and didn't really get that much out of them, and yes I've read the books). Cesar is an incredibly arrogant man, but you don't see that in the show (clever editing counts for a lot of things!). Just as Victoria is an incredibly arrogant woman. I think part of the issue is how much they have to talk themselves up - they have to make themselves believe they are gods or why else would anyone else?
I'm not a fan of any of the dog trainers shows, the average person will get some info out of it but will probably miss something important and wind up making mistakes.
