    That makes a lot of sense, thankyou very much for your reply. We lost our dog Victor just over a year ago, the little dog was very very depressed for quite some time, to the point where we thought he was actually ill. He's alot better now except as you say with the blanket.
    I will go and buy them both new beds and put the old one away.

    Sorry for bringing this back. I was interested in the back story of this little dog, and thought I'd read this thread too.

    Just from going off what you said, I would say that this dog has a dominance issue that should have definitely been dealt with as soon as your older dog died. He needs a leader- if there is none, he will take the position whether he likes it or not. In my opinion, this dog biting your child can be attributed to dominance issues.
