Thread: Recall/Longline leash?

    Default Recall/Longline leash?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but anyway...

Looking for a recall leash on a budget. Most are around over $25 for 5-10m. Has anyone found something cheaper? I'm thinking of just buying 10 odd metres of rope and making my own at this rate.

'wkristen' - a long leash is an essential part of your tool kit for dog training and is something I would not skimp on.

If you buy a good one, it will always be useful and they last. I have one from about 20 years ago - and it still looks like a new one.

I've known a few people here mention that they just use a long rope. I don't agree with it being useful for a long time. Most people only use them for a limited period of time - until the dog's recall is solid - if they only have one dog. And most of the time you're not going to hold it, you will just let the dog drag it behind him and then step on it if you want to stop him.

I got this one on ebay, hasn't arrived yet, they also had other sizes available - I paid $4.19 for 6m one.

    Horse Land!
buy all my dog tack there, for 25% of the cost of dog tack.
Lungeing reign, made of 100% cotton (no burnt hands) 30 meters. Had mine 4yrs, use it twice a week or more, still in good nick.

Pure leather, $65 hand stitched, good craftsmanship too. Its on my christmas list

30 metres wow... i only went for the 6m one because I'm guessing that's probably the limit of how far a bulldog could be bothered walking. If I got a 30m one I'd be the one walking back to pick up the dog. LOL
