    Question Barkbusters

    Hi,

I am getting barkbusters to come and train my two dogs in about a month and half.

Am quite excited by the prospect actually as I want to train my little girl Sass in agility.

However, was wondering if anyone else had used them and what are your thoughts on them.

Also, is there anything I should do to prepare myself?

    Thanks
    M

Probably because they come in - do some parlour tricks and leave you poorer both in cash and knowledge. Do a search in this forum for barkbusters and you will see lots of evidence for why having a person come into your house once doesn't teach your dog anything.

Personally I'd find an obedience club, and take your dogs on a weekly basis.

    Best of luck.

Hmmm, she is comming for three sessions, two weeks apart. Also the training has a lifetime gaurentee so if it doesnt work they will come back, the only thing I will have to pay for is travel. So that seems a little unusual.

Goodiesgirl - I actually live rurally, and have asked around but apparently Sam and Sass are too old (they are both around two) for the ones near me. This lady is travelling two and a half hours to get to me.

Ahh well, we will see how it goes.

It is totally your choice, but I personally wouldn't waste my money on them.

    Best of luck

    Barkbusters

Antiquated training methods. Trainers who are big on theory and short on genuine understanding of the canine mind. Your money. Your dogs. Your choice.

I'm surprised your obedience club won't accept 2 year old dogs. I recall a 10 year old rescue who went through training at a club and did damn well too.

They havent had the training yet.

My first appointment isnt until the 30th August.

Hmm, I posted this on another forum I use and I am getting alot of the same responses. Could anyone recomend a good training group that is based in Rockhampton QLD, I dont actually live there, I live two hours away but that is my closest town.
