I already posted about the microwaved liver cubes. Best high value treat we've used so far.

But these days we just use the Smackos liver treats (not as crumbly as the other brand) and the Nature's Gift treats. I've also bought the Aldi version of the latter and the dog doesn't seem to notice the difference.

Never mind my fave treats, it's all about what the dog likes.

Her fave treats are dried roo. And rawhide strips. And treats that other people have.

we do ok with roast chicken (fillet), processed cheese singles (easy to work with but I suspect chopped up cheddar would also work), metwurst (german salami), promite on toast, jatz crackers, ham off cuts, dried fish...

And kibble and good os. and kitten kibble.

I really can't be bothered shelling out $60 per kg for dried liver treats and other supermarket dog treats - tho she loves them. I have resorted to schmacko treats (for the end of an agility run) when I can't get the dried roo strips.

My dog will have anything, but which is more tempting on the whole (from your experience).

small bits of chicken cooked ( my preference for handling!), cooked sausage cut up, polony, haven't tried cheese yet but am told it is generally popular, dried liver. I am aware of sodium content so lean towards the meat treats at the moment.
Her best treat s me throwing the ball! Not particularly food driven if there is something else happening.

My dogs love the cooked liver..bacon is the "you did awesome" treats and an raw egg is the "you are amazing" treat.

I used to do cheese, because they loved it, but a couple of pukes later I canceled that idea

Pressed dried liver is pretty good for training from scratch, otherwise I just use dry supermarket dog food.

What is more tempting - depends on the dog, and to some extent how they've been trained (deliberately or otherwise).

For my dog - the most tempting thing - is someone else's treats.

Bernie's treat hierarchy: To dive into water for his ball. To jump and catch in mid air and high ball. To carry his ball.
He's a food refuser when out 'working'. And you could offer anything, he wont eat it.

Pohm's treat heirarchy: Any type of food, ball, head stroke, kind words of love
