You can search these things on Youtube, people makes videos on how to train different things. Have a look.

It looks easy when they can do it. You have my empathy as I am in the middle of teaching my pup manners and find the lessons are a character building exercise for me. Patience and persistence I am told.I will look up that link need all the help I can get!

A very simple thing I do is when they are being naughty I just put mine out....For at least five minutes, they come back in, I ignore them, if they go to lie somewhere quietly I praise and rewards. If they get boisterous, they go out again or into a quiet room........I have done this up to 10 times with one dog in one evening. it takes time, but they do get the hint.

Place can be taught several different ways..it depends on what your method is. I will throw something on their place (mat), initially when they see me do it, ask them to sit, for only a very short time and reward.....Everytime they are not in the room I will place something edible on the place...it gets to the point your dog will always check place. When they go there i ask for a short sit stay...after a while you might find they just go there, I reward that highly...Ones they go there, i will say "place" as they go there. I reward this generously........
We make place a place of interest and high reward...our dogs just go there, each has their own place. A crate will work just as well. We have two dogs that are under a table, one under a desk and one has a mat....it is just how it works for us. We do not allow any robust play in the house.......Ours know that if they do, they get put outside or time-out (bathroom)....They are allowed to play footsie or mouthy

If you are used to a clicker, you can make this much quicker....Check out Kikkopup..........

If you have a dog club in your local area join it. They will probably run basic obedience classes and the socialising with other dogs will also be beneficial.
