All those things on my dog's fave list are high in salt. But they're treats - not supposed to be meal replacements. If we're not working on anything special she gets some of her dinner ration kibble eg for basic heel work and staying close to me at the park. For recalls away from other dogs or people or the (packed with kiddy lunch scraps) playground - she gets a bit of the evil processed cheese.

One of her other fave treats is promite on toast. I suspect - that's high in salt too.

PS one of my friends uses four legs meat ball things - they look a bit like coconut rum balls Nanna serves up at Christmas. The balls are big and highly visible so good for throwing to reward in place (eg on the landing side of a jump) for food orientated dogs.
