Default Gorgeous Amstaff Girl Needing Rescue...

    Hey all.

Just talking to Nic. There's a lovely Amstaff girl at Hawkesbury Pound at the moment who sounds like she might run out of options...

Nic will be able to add some more info as she has met her, but I thought I'd get something up here in case anyone knows someone who may be in a position to help her out.

This is her photo from the pound. She is well looked after, and you've gotta love those pink jammies and the bling! She is apparently a wonderful natured girl, and has good manners. But is seems her owners might not want to spring her... Hopefully they will. But it would be good for her to have a rescue back-up if we can find one.

    Cheers.

    Thanks so much Natty

This little 'bling' girl is quite a character, very relaxed and polite in her pen.

She ignores the dogs either side of her and gives lovely, friendly bum wiggles and affection to her visitors.

She is in very good condition overall and is only 18 months old.

She is due on 5th May and is chipped and registered.

Her owners have been contacted, though they have not come to collect her

Her Imp details are BHSC 177 and she is in Kennel 29.

If anyone is able to help her please contact HCAS on 45604644

    Thanks,
    Nic

    OMG! Gorgeous!
I'm more than happy to spread the word ...but is interstate adoption possible?
Sorry guys...not sure how that works.

    Hi Maggie

Thanks so much for your support yes!! she is the Hawkesbury "Bling' girl and always looking gorgeous!

A meeting with this girl and family members/family dogs is advised, this is done at the shelter with staff/volunteers. It gives an indication of dynamics between dogs and also allows the family a chance to connect.

She can be temp tested with cats at the shelter by staff.

I would not recommend an interstate adoption (with no meeting) straight from any shelter. It is possible, but there are too many variables for me personally.

I am not sure where you are Maddie, but families regularly drive long distances to adopt dogs from Hawkesbury.

I am happy to meet them and offer support.

Of course the other option for this bub is rescue! and i would love to find rescue for this girl

    Thanks Billy,
Of course...there's no way i'd let anyone adopt without meeting the pooch at least oncei wouldn't even let people adopt any of my rescue bunnies before meeting them and recieving relevant literature from me.
However I know some people (including myself) that would travel to rescue/adopt/ find the right pooch. I just thought that it might be a problem as they''d be unable to do a yard inspection. Ayway, i'll spread the word, that's pretty much all I can do from here as I'm in SA.

This girl is in urgent need, and there will be no reprieves for her once her due date arrives.
