Yes I know people should have a right to say they are against it and yes, going on holidays is really lame....BUT....here it is , in black and white in front of us.
So instead of jumping all over her why can she not be offered options so that her dogs dont end up in a pound.

She was offered options first up and all the way through. She was also asked to clarify so we could offer more specifically useful options and she didn't come back and post, and then Jadielee brought us up to date with another post this person had made elsewhere which made the whole deal even more lame looking...

I think a fair proportion of the posts were practical info. The first four responses were not OP Bashing. And after that it works out to 50 / 50 - not helped by the fact that OP didn't come back and explain what was really going on. Sometimes this has happened and the OP has a perfectly reasonable explanation.

People actually don't realise how traumatic a shelter is for a dog. I would hazard a guess that the OP believes they will be re-homed from the shelter pretty quickly due to their size and she is probably right on the mark.

Look,we already get that its a lame excuse but the point now is to try and help the dogs before they end up in the pound or worse. The OP probably wont come back after some of the posts directed them and I cant blame her for not wanting to.Just as an aside,I'm going to attempt to contact her by PM with some options, perhaps others could do the same ?

And Lala , I didnt even know what like was until you said it lmao!!! So thanks

Regardless of what I, or other ppl here, think about our dogs, babies and dogs are a completely different kettle of fish.

If a dog is dog aggressive and someone says "it might attak a child next", we all know that dogs and children are completely different and make a point in saying so...same here. Dogs and children are different.

I absolutely adore my dogs and would hate to ever rehome them (and I just wouldnt) but if someone had to go....it wouldnt be my kid so that's a bit of a silly point.

No its not a silly point at all. You wouldn't get rid of your kids so why take on the responsibility to own a dog... and in this case even 2? Some people can't have kids so their animals are the next best thing.
I understand that sh!t happens and at least the OP is trying to find new homes rather than surrendering them to a pound or something.

This is a forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion... maybe the OP should have thought about that before posting.

The OP didn't come here to be part of the forum. They only came to advertise their dogs. They never asked for anyone's opinion. Maybe we should reserve our free advice for people who actually want advice?

I think this section should be removed altogether because it rarely serves its purpose.

Its still a silly point....getting rid of a dog, and getting rid of a child are not even comparable. Even for people who cant have children.

My dogs are my kids, but they be first to go if I had to.

I dont disagree that its a lame excuse...youre preaching to the converted. I dragged my dogs over to Oz when we moved which cost us $3k despite the fact that we were not even bringing enough in yet to maintain our bills so I, personally, would never get rid of my guys. But I just dont find gettign rid of a dog comparable to gettign rid of kids.

Not everyone places the same value on animals as we do.

And I agree with beloz, they didnt ask for advice, they asked for a home.
