Thread: Free to Good Home - Loving Rottweiler

I'd prefer not to name what rescue group(s) I'm associated with on this forum as that's not why I joined.

However I will say I have been involved in rescue in some form or other for the past four years.

Feel free to pm me then. As a rescuer myself, I am sure I would know of the group you are with.

I do find it a little disconcerting that you willingly bring up your 'experience' as a rescuer but then you won't state who you rescue for. I am sure you have your reasons though.

Why do you find it a bit 'disconcerting'?

I hardly think I bring up my 'experience' as a rescuer in any great detail at all. In fact I rarely if ever bring it up on this forum.

I guess I believe in the courage of convictions and being verbal about how I have formed those opinions so that people can understand why I think the way I do.

When I form an opinion, it is like you, formed through experience, knowledge and environment.

You willingly brought into your argument the fact that you work in rescue as a basis for your opinion in this thread and you hold a very strong opinion. I find I feel a little wary of believing your experience because you won't disclose which rescue.

Please note I am not implying you are doing anything wrong by any means. It is your choice, and with the number of crazies on the internet, I am not surprised that people are very hesitant about giving out details of any kind.

This is all purely my personal thoughts is all, and it really isn't important to the discussion.

I do have strong opinions and have never apologised for that. As a result I'm not all that popular around here, However I shall continue to have an opinion and be part of the forum.

You can choose to believe what I post or not, that is entirely up to you. I won't be posting the names of any of the rescue(s) so take that as you may. My reasons are my own.

I don't give a lot of details over the internet and am stunned that many choose to do so.

Having strong opinions doesn't create enemies, but the way they are expressed sometimes does.

Anyway, I have a different opinion on re-homing dogs than you. I operated my own rescue for many years, a totally different breed to what you have fostered I believe (you put more in your posts than you probably realise), and I willingly took on surrendered dogs and I understand and accept that good people re-home dogs for a variety of acceptable reasons.

Wow, he has had a few views. Pugs are always popular though. I am happy to see he has found a good new home.

Wow you really know how to twists one's words don't you?

Firstly, Never said I had enemies just said I wasn't very popular. Everyone has a different writing style. I realise mine is blunt but I make my point without fluffing around with words. Whatever.

Secondly, I know exactly what personal information (or any information) for that matter I give away in my post because..... well because I wrote them
But it's very flattering of you to look through my posts looking for info (or possibly something else??)
I don't come into this forum to bull**** people, that bores me no end. I come into the forum to talk dogs and related topics.

Umm, ok. No need for any aggression. I am just stating things as I see them and I am not twisting anything, although I do think you are misinterpreting many things. You were the one who mentioned that being opinionated hasn't won you many friends here. I simply used your own example.

Never mind, time to move on as they say.
