Default Yogi is on Death Row.. He Needs a New Home. :(

Does anyone know someone who would like to have Yogi??? (temporarily or permenantly)
Attached are images of our lovely dog Yogi.
He is currently on death row at the RSPCA unless I can find a home for him (temporary or permenant) outside of Portland Shire. He escaped from the place he was living at and scared some people who now (understandably) never want to see him again. The council have yet to decide weather to categorize him as a menacing dog or not (which would require muzzle and lead when off private property at all times). Having said all of this he is a delight to be around and has always socialized well with dogs and humans alike at regular dog training on and off the lead and the RSPCA have even said that he has been great since he was brought there. He loved our children however I don't recommend that he be kept with small children due to his sheer size and clumsiness, and the fact that children were involved in the incident that lead to his current situation (although no-one was injured or even touched to my knowlege).

He was dog of the week at the RSPCA two years ago and was advertised as a Lab X .. Although he looks something like a giant lab (about the size of a large german shepard, or a skinny mastiff), he is more likely rottweiler cross great dane. He is a bouncy teenager (nearly 2.5 years old) and he LOVES chasing balls more than anything in the world. He would make a fantastic guard dog or simply a large loveable companion for an adult with a large rural or very secure property. We are absolutely devastated that we are forced to loose him, but far better to loose him to a loving new home than to the needle of death!!

PLEASE MESSAGE ME OR REPLY TO THIS THREAD ASAP IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS INTERESTED OR WOULD LIKE FURTHER DETAILS. I WILL HAPPILY DRIVE TO ANY STATE IN AUSTRALIA TO SAVE THIS AWESOME DOG.

That's very vague. What happened that led to his current position in the first place?

I agree with Silver Shadow you need to provide more info on the incident that caused Yogi to be in this situation so that people can evaluate with the correct information weather they can help place the dog or take on the dog themselves.

Hope you can find someone to help you out though he looks lovely.

Aww hes gorgeous, he looks like he could be Barney's twin except a finer build.

So what is the situation around why he needs to be rehomed? Like others have said, without those details it's all a bit vague

I spotted on trading post today that Yogi had found a new home. Just thought i'd pop that here so people have an update.
