OK,well it's certainly no secret how I feel about the RSPCA ( no-they are certainly not gracious thoughts) but after being contacted by a couple of friends about a couple of dogs at the Katoomba shelter and going in to meet them I must say a small kudos to the staff at that particular shelter .
Anyhows.....I would love to introduce you to Tequilla. This little girl is just the sweetest thing. She certainly does have energy to burn but she also always has one eye on you ( I love this-she was always watching for me ,waiting for a signal or word from me ) .She tries to please so hard though even in sit she just cannot stop that bum from wriggling and tail a slappin lol You can almost hear her " I did good didn I huh huh ?! I did good!"
She is dog friendly with her only problem being she can get a tad over the top for some dogs, she was obviously never taught correct doggy greeting /playing etiqutte or she was not socialised outside her own pack at all. Its certainly not a major issue and can be fixed with some regular training from an experienced owner.
Now I know they say she is not suitable to homes with children under 6 years and whilst yes I agree that is a responsible thing to place on her profile I also feel that again, with the proper guidance and training from an experienced owner/family this could be fixed with little to no drama.
Her biggest thing is going to be exercise and socialisation. She has a very active and intelligent brain ticking away inside that beautiful head of hers. Mental stimulation is I reckon either as good as or even better than ,treats/food.
She is certainly a beautiful young lassy most deserving of a home where she can totally engulf her new family with her endless devotion and continuosly entertain them with her playful antics.
