    Default Maremma Needing Forever Home

I have 1 male 1yr old Maremma that due to unforseeable finaincal hardship his mum can no longer keep him & he was flown home to me.
Bono is a pet not a guardain & is well lead trained, tolit trained & was living in an apartment sleeping in the bed etc[goodnes knows how she fited Bono & her boyfriend] so would love a similar type home. At present he is living with his dad outside but really dose not like it. Again I will say he will not make a guardain but would be a great best mate.
Bono is already 29in at the shoulder but still a lanky teenager in body type[would weigh 30kgs approx] & snow white with a slight wave to his coat.
He is in NW NSW but I would fly him at new owners exspence to the right home.
Bono is a teenage boy so needs someone with time & the commitment to take him through to true adulthood & in return they will have a big mate for life.
I will try & get some pics tomorrow.

Hi crazydog, I've told my S.I.L about Bono and I'm hoping she'll get in touch with you. She is an experienced maremma owner, and all round animal lover.

    Thank you for trying Emma.
Thanks for the good luck wishers.
We're starting think Bono will make an ok yard guardain over at the property we run our buisness from. At present he is at my parents farm but has to stay in the house yard & be walked as he has no stock exsperaince & with christmas & making hay we havn't had the time to start his stock training. I sold him as a pet though as he showed way to much chase & play drive to make a good stock guardain without alot of work whilst most of his littermates where natural stock guardains. The lady he was with toke him to puppy preschool & they toke him to a dog park daily but his over all manners need some polish when he's off leash. Poor Bono was sleeping in their bed & just a total part of their lives so it did take him a while to settle in at the farm & stop asking to come to bed at night(we really felt for him but wow he's huge & not the average bed mate, lol). He now has a bed in the laundry, is in a very large house yard of a day & comes into the house of a evening & morning to be feed & spend time with my parents & what ever adult kids & grandchildren that are there.
Of a day my mum is over at the other farm which is where the office is & the machinery work shop & other sheds & my graqndparents house but no livestock. We are thinking this may suit him better as there is always workmen, customers & family about to keep an eye on him & plenty going on to keep Bono happy & entertained. He is bored at my parents & because he isn't livestock safe yet it limits what he gets to do whereas at the office farm he can chase rabbits & met customers of a day & start learning about what it takes to be a farm guardain of a night. My other dogs are so freindly to all comers of a day but the minute the sun goes down & the front gates get locked they are totaly different dogs & would never allow anyone past the gate without a trusted persons ok. Bono has the deepest bark & mum has noticed him starting to night bark & do patrols around the yard & then sleep all day. So I think maybe his future will be at the office all going well as their dog Baska is a very old golden/border collie who just like to snooze this days & my sister has a gold Tibetan Mastiff I breed but she's only 5mths so along way of any real guardain duties.
