Well done SPRV. I saw this girl and thought of you - even started a pm! Then noticed your name was already on her... Faster than the eye can blink...

I've done a transport run to Griffith once, met up with tarnsport from Hay and came back through Wagga. i did pick up a vast host of rescues (13 dogs I think). It was a hell of a day though, and I wouldn't be in a hurry to put my hand up for it again... (I'm near Canberra) between the sheer distance, pound hold ups, vet hold ups, traffic hold ups etc... Gawd. I was gone for over 15 hours.

I'm glad you got in touch with RADAR - lovely people.

Looks like this little girl may be adopted straight from the pound to a local. Fingers crossed.

However, WA has been in contact with us this morning about a young boy over there who is also due on Monday. Any ideas anyone????

Lol wasn't me that was that quick, it was the local ranger who used her investigative powers to find us.

There are some rangers who really go the extra mile......Danni from Griffith is one, Tracey from WA another......

I have ideas but they are often not any good Is it just transport or temp testing you are needing help with? I think there is a rescuer in WA that posts on DOL some times (Loopy Lola??) I think she has rescued or assisted with Shar Peis previously. You may be able to ask her? Peigirl is in Perth I think.

Thanks Cat and I like your ideas!!!!

I have asked for 24 hrs to see what can be organised, so will see how we go with LL & PG (yep both have assisted SPR Inc before). It is really foster care we need if we don't fly him - and to fly him is about $450!

Yowch! Can any of the transport companies offer a rescue rate on his flight? Or can you post on dol - see if anyone is flying back themselves that may lodge him as excess baggage? Much cheaper than flying on his own.

    That is rescue flight rates!!!!

HOWEVER......we have been busy over the past few days......Griffith girl has been adopted and looks like we have found a WA home for our boy also. I do love it when things sort themselves.....and we are currently down to about 13 orphan dogs and decreasing! Hoping to have a bit of a break for a little while - I can dream anyway???

We have good strong applications on 4-6 of these dogs, with only one surrender waiting to come in. Fingers crossed!
