She certainly has made herself at home, one thing is bothering me tho, she "trembles" a lot, I dont know if it is because she is still very timid, there has been a real change in the weather, it has turned very cold, but I noticed it last night when she was in bed with me she was trembling then too and couldnt have been cold then.

One real big test she passed with flying colours yesterday afternoon, had a visit from a very old man delivering a sympathy card, he pulled the security door wide open & before I could do anything, Molly dived outside, my heart dam near stopped, I pushed passed him & yelled for her to stop which she did. I was so relieved as I am on a main road and it could have been a major disaster had she have gone much further. I was more relieved that my voice actually worked as I'm still stuffed up with this rotten fluey bug.

My Ralph trembles if he is cold, anxious or excited. It could be that she is still timid.
So glad Molly stoped when you yelled for her to stop. She obviously is taking notice of you!
    Staffies will feel the cold.

Bella also trembles. Actually Pandii (on the forum) makes really lovely dog coats - made to measure, you may want to get in touch with her.

Bella freaks at loud weather, if the smoke detector goes off, fireworks, if she is cold. When it is a reaction to something freaking her out I won't console her rather I try to get her attention on something else. Treats (Lynnies treats are WONDERFUL for this because they are small enough not to do any weight damage and yummy enough that she forgets about the issue at hand).

I swear Staffords think they are human!!

Bev.... aww good to hear that MM listened to your voice & stopped on the spot, sounds like her recall is going good, i can imagine your heart stopping moment when she ran out the door...

MM's trembles could be something simple as her still being a bit timid etc, nerviness, cold weather. SBT's do feel the cold very easily due to very short coats. Floyd trembles in cold weather or in a situation that he's not familiar with, he even trembles meeting some dogs, but a warm comfy cuddle from me usually calms & settles him down..

Training of Miss Molly started this afternoon and so far she is responding fairly quickly. We have sit, drop, (thanks to Lyns treats) and lead walking, she is going to need more concentration on this tho.
We had a little woopsie this morning, but I blame myself for it, I had closed my back door because of the cold coming in & Molly decided to deposit right in my front door way, yep, on the carpet, actually, it wasnt a little woopsie, it was quite a decent size pile reasonably firm so it was easy to clean up. I'm still a little concerned about her timidness, she rolled on her side in front of earlier & she peed, not a lot tho, but it was a "submissive" roll. I sat down with her to reassure her she was a good girl, so I hope I can eventually get her out of this.

Poor Miss Molly, at least her deposit was in the door way, which meant that she really would have gone outside. You need to train her to tell you when she wants to go out side, but I am sure she will learn to tell you when she is not feeling so timid!
I am sure you will get her out of her timidness in time.

I never got Blackie out of his timidness and pretty is another timid submissive one. I KNOW she has never been ill treated. I think just her nature.

Pei, I was tempted to close the back door too this morning due to the cold breeze, but didn't want to risk it with the puppies.

I'd just act if nothing happened when she goes all submissive and give her cuddles when she's gotten over it.
