What about his release? Can you get him out under 16D GAG?

Yes,the clause should be fine but I may also be able to as well as they can do it under a rescue 'banner'.Need to speak with Chris though as he's the one who knows the clauses and loop holes and procedures. So far they have been very helpful and are hoping the dogs get a second chance

Cool, I can give you my Victorian Incorporation # if that helps, if he wants me to email him the request on letterhead, can do that too. Otherwise I will need an impound # for DABS to do for us. Would prefer to get him out under SPR Inc if possible

Shar, I have to drop the bandits home on Wednesday, they live only 10 minutes from the airport, so since I'm going that way anyway.....

There's a show being put on by the local Snake/Reptile Society that I've been looking forward to going to, so it all works out pretty good, I thought I would miss it!

I have wonderful news......The Fonz has a home lined up and will leave the care of SPR on Easter Thursday......here is a snipett of their application.....

Are you enquiring about a particular dog? If a general enquiry please give size, and age of dog you would be interested in.
    Staffy Male-Fonzie

Why do you want to adopt a dog? We miss the unconditional love and affection

Do you currently have any pets? If so, what kind? Breed, age, gender, de-sexed? Birds

If you have not previously owned a Shar Pei, please outline your knowledge of the Shar Pei breed. Staffy- loyal, affectionate, cuddly, friendly house dog

Has your current dog (if any) been C5 vaccinated in the last 12 months? (The C5 includes kennel cough component) our last dog passed away a few years ago of old age

Where do your existing pets (if any) sleep? inside

Where will your new dog sleep? In our bedroom or our sons.

Have you had any pets in the past? What happened to them?
They all died of old age.

Have you ever taken an animal to a shelter or released it to another party? If yes, please explain: never, would not even consider it.

Does anyone in your house not want a new dog? If so, please explain:
    No.

Have you been refused an adoption with any other breeder, rescue group or shelter? If so, please explain: no.

Is your yard securely fenced? Please describe type (materials) and height of fencing. Please note a yard check is a requirement of adopting from Shar Pei Rescue. 6’6” high paling new paling fence which is fully enclosed.

If no-one is at home, where will the dog stay? Inside or Outside? If outside, is there sufficient shelter? Both inside or out as there will be a doggy door.

How many hours will the dog be left alone for each day? 3-4 hours until we get a girl dog.

Will the dog be allowed inside? How much of the time? How ever long he chooses.

Do you agree to return the dog to us should your circumstances change or you decide the adoption has not worked out? yes

If you have a swimming pool will the dog be separately fenced away from the pool? yes

What will you do with your pet if you have to go out of town or move? He will be part of the family, he will be accommodated at all cost.

Does your job require you to move or travel often? no

How often will you have time to walk the dog? Twice daily as a bare minimum.

What will you do if this pet has or develops behaviour problems?
    Sort them out with training.

Under what circumstance would you give up this pet? (E.g. Family illness, barking or digging, high cost vet bills). Everything is workable. We do not give up easily on family

Dogs often live 15 years or older, are you willing to take responsibility for your pet’s entire life, keeping up to date with yearly vaccinations and tests? Our last two dogs lived until 18 and 17 respectively.

What will you do if this pet becomes ill or injured and requires expensive veterinary care? Help him.

What will you do if your pet is lost? Find him at all cost.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about you, your family or your interest in adopting a dog? We miss dogs terribly. We believe in the healing power of dogs love and affection.

Do we all agree, they sound perfect...and have been waiting for their stafford for so long! I am very happy for this family-The Fonz included in that word!!!!
