Sumo is one of those dogs...you can take him anywhere...as long as he has his bed...he couldn't care less
Batty's like Sumo at the moment, although it's his Teddy that he's more worried about!!

Love the playing pics, looks like they are the best of friends already!

Cleas Mate, I think this is going to be all okay between Ruby and Eddie in the end. Time is everything.

Zed was a dog that hated the show-ring. His heart wasn't in it; he didn't want to be there. In hindsight his breeder did feel he maybe should have been removed from a situation that was helping to cause so much aggression and stress in him earlier. Um, yep.

Taking Ruby out of the circuit now may be your God-send IMHO. It will be interesting to see once she's de-sexed and no longer being taken into the ring, whether she settles quickly and becomes her lovely relaxed self again.

I for one think you have totally done the right thing in this circumstance.

I think Eddie will settle in with Sumo and Ruby quiet well! They will look cute all together!

Sumo is still somewhat apprehensive, but being nice and a good boy. It can get ugly in a split second, so they are ONLY allowed together when I am there!
That is wise until they get to the point that they are calm and are best friends!

I fully understand Dorte.. as we both know only too well how things can change in a split second. Our beloved breed sure are bossy boots set in their own ways & can be "set off " just by looking at each other. At least we are responsible SBT owners that respect our breed's history & understand their temperament & try our best to not allow them to get nasty with each other.

Don't have anything constructive to add except to say that whoever invented baby gates should get a Nobel Prize - LOL.

Gorgeous dogs. I am sure with all the expertise in the family, they will be The Three Staffeteers in no time at all
