SPRV is right, limit your time checking out Pound sites. It is heartbreaking to see all the dogs knowing that many won't make it out alive. You cannot save them all but making the difference to one dogs life is better than making a difference to none.
Thanx Bullyt.....I agree! It is positively gut wrenching to look at the pound sites

I was approached by a coordinator for Hunter Animal Rescue regarding becoming a foster carer for HAR. I thought...yep I can do this! BUT...the majority of their dogs come from Kurri and Port Stephens Pound and hearing what you all have said...I can't do it. I can't risk my exciting dogs health and well-being. That might sound heartless, but it is just not worth it

Sweet boy finally SMELLS sweet now that he's had a good bath. He behaved better than I expected, but keeping him still to dry him off was more of a battle, he wanted to go for a run around. It didn't help that when I called him over to me after getting everything set up he ran full pelt into my wrists....yowsa!

It's a lousy day here, raining on and off, so he's better off tucked up in the kennel snuggled into the mountain of blankets. But we've had a couple of play sessions, but I'm not sure if he's got a bit of kennel cough so decided his activity should be reined in. Until I know for sure I'm not letting him interact with the other dogs apart from the occasional sniff though the fence.

I'm going to find a little doggy jumper for him as I think it might get a bit cool tonight, wonder if he'll keep it on!

I think he's happy, certainly acts it! He's enjoying his tucker, and I can see he's calmed down a bit compared to yesterday.

Crossing fingers it isn't KC and he isn't too skinny for his GA and desexing tomorrow!!! He will be getting his teeth cleaned while he is under GA...easier that way and will arrive with a fresh set of munchers and looovely breath

Sorry about the wrists Greys...that would have hurt

Here's another "fix" for you Clea - a few doing zoomies this afternoon, and one tonight showing how shiny he looks after his bath. His coat is all soft now! We've had a few cuddles, he was so happy this afternoon!

Shame it's such a miserable day, makes the pics gloomy.

Oh, and one more pic to follow....
