Thanx Hippo....he would have been administered the green dream today if it hadn't been for Von going to Hawkesbury for me. I feel very blessed and honoured to be able to introduce him into our family.

I had a look at the Hawkesbury Pound website earlier this evening as DA mentioned a GSD who needs a new home and you getting Rio so I thought I just go and have a look... It is so heartbreaking.... So many nice dogs.... Even an 8 week old staffy X puppy.... But Rio is safe and will have a great life ahead of him and that is simply fantastic!!!

aww bless, Rio sure is a gorgeous boy, that sweet face sure has got to me

A big thank you to Dorte & Von for saving yet another unloved Stafford. I'm sure in no time with Dorte's love & care that Rio will be looking healthy again

OMG it breaks my heart to see my beloved breed in such a neglected state.

He doesn't SMELL lovely that's for sure - tomorrow he will be getting a bath like it or not!

I would have done it this afternoon, but he had a little blood from where they put the microchip in so decided to let it heal over and do it tomorrow. I watched the staff doing the chipping, it took 2 of them to hold him, he was wriggling around so much trying to get cuddles!

Breathing a tentative sigh of relief, he's all quiet down in the kennels, earlier he was carrying on a bit....so he's either gone inside to choose which bed he'll sleep on, or is chewing on a nylabone thingy I gave him, or he's up to no good!
