Hopefully all the pups get great homes.
I do know his mum wants to travel next year so I may be able to get him back (as long as ex says it ok) when I have my own place and am settled

& there are other rescue groups that i would never support either.. RSPCA what a load of crock they are ( for all creatures great & small.... "NOT IF THE DOG IS A BULL BREED THO")

I will admit to being biased & only supporting rescue groups that support my beloved breed SBT.

Actually...I have heard some things too and those things were somewhat disturbing! I don't know if they were true, but I trust the source it came from.

Deb...I know you got Floyd from there, but my interactions with SR were somewhat disappointing...as you know! When we went there to meet Butch the 10 year old Staffy...it was quite obvious this dog should be an only dog in the household. Still they thought (even after I told them about Ruby and Sumo) that he could have gone to our house.

Anthony behaved like he would rather have been ANYWHERE but there...introducing dogs to us and Mina was sitting on her mobile phone!

We have since Butch looked at Rescue sites, but stayed clear of dogs from SR. I don't like the facilities they are kept in...isolated and away from human contact and interaction

In my opinion...there are rescuers and then there are RESCUERS!

I doubt SR temperament test their rescues (I could be wrong) and THIS I find disturbing! Especially with a breed like the SBT!

ETA: just to clear things up...I was talking about Staffy Rescue Sydney

Stafford Rescue Victoria is run as part of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Vic... the majority of our members support us... all dogs that come to us are desexed, microchipped, vaccinations uptodate and any other vet work necessary... the dogs usually stay with one of us for a couple of weeks, during that time the temperament is assessed and we spend many hours on the phone with each other (distance is a problem for us) discussing what type of home would be most suitable for the dog in question.. It can be hard to find homes for some dogs, and the dog will stay with us until that home comes along.... Depending on the dog, the ones that come here either stay in a kennel or live inside... if they are dog and cat friendly... my latest girl Lola is sleeping on my bed with all my dogs, something I'm sure shé's never done before... she is the sweetest dog and I'll be making sure she goes to a home that can give her lots of attention..

I don't know much about staffyrescue NSW, but thats how we work... all the dogs are assessed prior to rehoming, but I'm sure there are time's when we've got it wrong.. and with every dog we learn more and more....

do you guys adopt interstate? And do you take dogs from other states? I would love to recommend you guys to people I know looking for dogs, but do understand if you do not like to send them to far away!

One day I am going to have nice friendly staffy who will allow me to have foster dogs here, I would love to help out!

we will send dogs interstate if the right home is for the right dog... not to sure about taking a dog from interstate thou, I'm sure we would if the situation was right, but there are enough dogs in vic and we are almost always full and waiting for a space to become available for the next dog... we are looking at sending a dog to WA atm... fingers crossed we think it will be a perfect match...
