    Default URGENT,URGENT Transport Request Mildura to Melbourne

    We have been notified of a shar pei in Mildura pound who has been assessed by one of our people up there and is in URGENT need of medical attention relating to his eyes. A lovely timid and scared boy who needs to see our Shar Pei speciast vet here in Melbourne ASAP. If you know anyone who can help get him to Melbourne PLEASE contact me ASAP.

    lol, NO! Rosey has been rescued, desexed, fostered and rehomed since I put up her request.

    This one is Einstein! A beautiful black 18 months old who has opaque eyes, meaning the quicker we can get his eyes fixed, the more likey we can restore some sort of vision, even if it is only 5 -20%.

    My Noah only has 5 - 10% vision and we work around this well. It comes back to training, pack order and trust. We can fix!!

    OK, step one is well underway. I have asked to have this poor boy released to us under duty of care, which means he will bypass the 8 day holding period.

    Apparently the owners called the pound and said they had him and wanted to surrender him, which would have meant he could have been released to us straight away. Then (as so many do) they piked and dumped him in the overnight pen- bas**rds

    How the hell do you hold it together with the owners who just dump their peis because of a medical problem.
    God forbid one of these people ever get diagnosed with cancer-- how would they like it if some member of their family dumped them in a cemetry -- ok -- bit far out --BUT
