Received another girl in today, she is about 5 years old... apparently she got out a couple of months ago and has been chained to a tree ever since.... she is dirty, (even after being bathed) has fleas, she also has skin problems and missing fur all over the place... oh and has a nasty ear infection..... she has been living with a boxer who they have tried to mate to her every season, but she just wont take.... grrrr.... oh and we are lucky to get her cuz she is worth $2000 .......... luckily her life is about to change, she's booked in for desexing and check up... will have decent regular feeding... and a loving home with lots of cuddles to look forward too...

Poor baby girl. I just can't imagine chaining any dog anywhere, let alone a Stafford. Breaks your heart. Thank Dog she is now safe.

Have you had an exceptional run on mistreated dogs of late? I seem to have and I just can't work out why. OK, there is always a steady stream, but I reckon over the last couple of months it has been every second dog that has appeared so thin, with such poor skin and everything else that goes with being badly mistreaded.

You wonder sometimes about the human race...what made some people the way they are?!? At what point in their disgusting little mind did they think it was ok to treat an animal like this.

No words can describe the emotions I feel when I read something like this! I just believe in Karma....they will get theirs and 10 fold...don't you worry!!!

Yeh Clea, it never ceases to amaze me just how "tough" it makes a person to mistreat an animal.

The ones that really get to me are the wailers. Sobbing uncontrollably because they have to give up their beloved dog, and yet the dog will be absolutely filthy, often have fly bown ears, might be showing ribs etc, etc. But they are so busy wailing they forget to even look at the dog, let alone say farewell. Some people must think we are completely daft. Takes all my strength not to slap them around the ears. But we have to see beyond that and ensure we get the dog with a minimum of fuss. You don't think of them again, until they pop up in your dreams/nightmares.....and they do believe me.

Thats what this dogs owners were doing, crying and carrying on... and yet she was in this condition.... Yes it seems we have had a lot of badly treated dogs of late,

Had one phone call from a vet who found a stafford, rang us, someone drove 1 hour to collect her, five mins away they get a call, owners have turned up....on the way home they get another call from the owner this time, you can have the dog, I don't want it... arranged a time for next day... that night the ''other half' tied the dog to the fence and beat it up, because of the trouble it caused...... grrrrr.... luckily she is in a good safe home now...
