Default We've Bought the Property, Now to Get the Kennel License

Well it's official. I signed the contract this afternoon. We have just purchased 5 acres in Tyabb!!!!! We will live on the premises and have already applied for a license to house 20 rescue dogs and 50 rescue cats/boarding.

I can't believe our dream is actually coming true! I am so excited as it looks like the pei and I (and the pei in staffy clothing) will move down there into the house (it is currently vacant and the vendors are allowing us to rent from them until settlement) in about 2 weeks!!!!

We have to move out as Noah likes to shove his nose in the dirt and run it along the white walls, so no point in preparing our sale until the piggy man has left the building lol

The dogs just loved the property, and the house as there are few stairs internally unlike where we currently live.

So Occy, when next you visit Melbourne, you must come down to the penninsular for a visit. Plenty of room so stay over!!

Of course you are all welcome anytime to.......

I have a plan Donna.......I have never had 20 rescue pei in Vic at any one time, so I thought I may be able to help you on occassion too? Miss Bella loves her own breed and I can't see any reason why I can't have the odd male in the mix? Especially given we are only 10 mins for Mornington Pound. At the very least I can tempt test there for you and be a holding facility.

Rescues will all have their own areas and runs of course and we will also have areas sectioned off for games for specific breed. Some hanging chooks strategically placed (and real chooks in the chook pen)! And I hope to get some agility equipment to tire out the little dears too.

Currently it has a 7 car garage and I suspect my 23 yr old will move home (into the equiv of 2 car garage), a workshop and bathroom in the middle and on the other side I hope to deck out for pens.

Dare I say I can imagine son sleeping with the odd sooky lala or two???

Just uploading some pics now. Please don't be offended anyone, remember this is our lifestyle change to the country and we have been able to "downsize" from the family home in Bayside.

Not to mention that we had 4 x adult kids and a grandbaby move out of home late last year, OH and I still haven't been grocery shopping since their departure. 2 adults and a few furkids are so much easier to support than the masses lol
