Ah luv, I can't believe this is happening to you. She needs to see the vet, sorry but that is the bottom line. The hunched back is often a sign of SP fever, weight loss and blood in her poo is not good. Far out I wish I could say something different, but without the correct clinical diognosis, it is not my place to say anything but lets get her to Melbourne and into my vet. Would you like me to ask around the other rescue groups for transport? PM me your town/address and I will see what I can organise. I will cover her costs at the vet. My thoughts are with you Peiluver, you don't seem to be able to win a trick. Also, is she microchipped to you?

Thanks so much for the offer, but you dont have to cover the costs, I'm fine in that department. Getting her to you or even to your vet would be next to impossible I would think as she is not able to be lifted. Occasionally of late I have had to use a towel to help get her to her feet but any pressure on her belly she lets out a yelp. Our vet is aware of whats going on with her & says it is not yet time to PTS.

Is the animal's ear tattooed? I know very little about breeding side but couldn't you trace the owner from a tattoo?

Hey I love this attitude. If you are a good example of this forum, I think I am going to enjoy it here.

GSD's are tattooed by breeders, I'm not sure if any other breed is, Staffords are not, and the problem with this girl would have been that, the breeder sold her, the person she sold her too, rehomed her... as far as I can tell that's where she went missing from... she is now in a lovely home thou, and is being spoilt rotten...

PeiLuver that is really sad news about your dog. How well do you know your vet? Might pay you a visit without charging the earth so you don't have to move her anywhere. God bless her, and best wishes to you.
