Thread: Greyhounds

    Default Greyhounds

Each year, thousands of Greyhounds are left to die because they are not qualified for racing and/or cannot race anymore. These Greyhounds are usually placed in pet adoption centers, however, there are just too many Greyhounds. If you don't own a dog, I would suggest getting a Greyhound. They are actually very fun loving dogs if you give them a chance.

Plus, almost all of them are free!

If you get a greyhound from a reputable adoption group, it would not be free.
Adoption fees cover the very important vet work (desexing, vaccinations etc) that each dog recieves before going to a home.
Trainers may give dogs away but then you will have no guarantee that the dog has a stable temperament and an acceptable level of prey drive.

Yep when i adopted my greyhound it cost $200 but that included everything, its a small price to pay for a loving companion.

You know that saying (not sure if my version is exact!)
    Dogs have owners
    Cats have Servants

I believe in Bundys case the cat one applies to those dogs!!

I was just wondering where Uno Rank heard that the greyhounds were adopted out for free? Does anyone have a link for rescue greyhounds in Australia? I have managed to get onto one site but they only ever have the ones that are already adopted.
