How fantastic to know how litter-mates are doing! Looking at the pics makes me think of the Gabriela Cilmi song that goes "You look good, look good, you're good lookin',yeah"!

    Gorgeous Boys !!

Re Xavier . . . . a little story from when I collected him. I was waiting at the counter and Anne came out. When I said I was there to collect the Shar Pei, her face dropped and she asked if I knew anything about Shar Pei. I said that I'd transported a few - LOL. I can't remember exactly what she said then, but I handed over my leads and she looked through her check chains to find one which would fit. She was making me think I was in for a car trashing session .

However, I walked out to the kennels with her and my first remark (just goes to show how I've been influenced) was: Oh he's small

From the photo I'd seen, I was expecting a much bigger dog and frankly he looked just a gorgeous boy. I couldn't believe I'd actually said a Shar Pei was small.

Anne went into his kennel with the check chain and lead and was getting nowhere, so big brave Florence when in and slipped the chain on him. He lifted his lip, but it was all show and I laughed and said to Anne that I'd finally seen a Shar Pei's teeth.

She came out to the car with me because she said I'd never get him in on my own. So opened the car . . . . . . . . and he just jumped in.

And Xavier finally arrived at Green Acres this morning. He bared his teeth at OH when he picked him up from the vet this morning too lol. I am yet to see this side of him, however I have left him and will leave him in peace for the next few days so as he realises that there is regular food coming and nothing to be concerned about.

I think he has had a tough time. Scot actually stitched up an "old" wound when he was under the knife for his eyes. He will be OK, just needs some time to adjust. He is a very sexy beast. He reminds me of Daisy Girls Daisy. He is obviously very well breed with a beautiful dark solid blue tongue. Pics to come soon!

Lulu waved good bye this afternoon. She is off to live with QQ an "old" pei at 10 yrs of age. We will miss her, especially Glenn. Lulu was his final contact with his beloved Presley.

And it looks like young Chaise has also found his forever home. Chaise departs next weekend.

Do you remember Rosey who came in from Mildura about the same time they were shooting cats last Xmas? Everyone put their thinking caps on to get her to Melbourne and Bub and her OH ended up transporting her. Well tomorrow Roxy arrives to be cared for by SPR. Roxy is Rosey's sister - litter mate, and when I heard she was looking for a new home, well what could I do? Rosey is such a lovely girl who gives her forever people such love and pleasure.

ATM it seems like for every dog we rehome, 2 more come into care. Vic has to close its doors to any more at the moment, sadly, we just don't have the room. Fingers crossed we can reopen our doors over the next week or so, any other miracle will also be gratefully accepted.
