You guys do such an awesome job.
Yep Diesel is at Wellington Park as well. Apparently he is behaving beautifully (what a suck) no screaming, no dominance, no naughty behaviour at all as yet. Apparently this is no unusual in the first week so we shall see if his true colours come through this coming week.

I met our latest arrivals yesterday, a couple were really sweet and quiet, but a couple of others were fairly full on - still lovely though!
Yes, doggy boot camp is Wellington Park, they are fantastic to me and the rescues. You would need to do your research as to who is exceptional up there and then approach them for rescue rates. Perhaps Steve Austin???

Ahh thanks Shar, I was on the right track. I had visions of the peis in lace up boots carrying back packs through a commando course!

Yes, I think I will look into it, but I'm afraid I'm not really fan of Austin (used to be) from personal experience. I know a lot of people like what he does, but I was unimpressed.

GAG - Wellington park is a boarding and training facility. They have 2 training programs Control and Advanced... which range from 3 week to 6 weeks in care.
All the trainers there have completed the NDTF certIII in dog behaviour and training. I Believe Sharna used to be a head trainer at guide dogs vic before she moved to Wellington Park.
Dogs in for training have 2+ training sessions a day with a trainer and they work on a vareity of exercises.

I have sent my own dog there for training and was very surprised with the dog i got back... (i won't go in her story)

Elwood was there and I swear he is almost a new dog...

    website is: Wellington Park Kennels

Do you wash them with malaseb even if they do not have any skin problems? Does it prevent problems or is just good for them?

I think SPRV washed in malaseb due to a ringworm problem in a visiting dog. So it would have been prevetion. PLease correct me if I am wrong SPRV.

I malaseb as a prefention. Esspecially if there has been a fight. Sometimes I can't see all the bite marks. I always malaseb just to be on the safe side.
