SPRV - I tear up everytime I think of your posts. This must be such a difficult time for you, yet through this difficulty something wonderful has been presented to you - Henry's sister. It sounds like at some point you do want to adopt Rana (you wrote "I also don't want to let go of her because she is Henry's sibling") There is no way you could ever replace or forget about Henry - that won't change whether you adopt Rana in 3 days, 3 weeks, or 3 months. But as GreysAreGreat noted, the breeder sounds wonderful and I'm sure they wouldn't mind holding onto her if you need more time. In the end I think you should trust your intuition and your heart, it doesn't matter what other people think or what you think 'should' be done. You gave Henry everything, I'm sure he would be delighted that you would be doing the same for his sister. It really is amazing, I mean what are the odds that of all the dogs that have come from that breeder, that it is Henry's sister that was returned at this particular time?!

You know my thoughts and feelings about it SPRV and as MM says it doesn't matter at all what other people think, all that matters is what's right in your heart for you and OH. You'll never forget Henry and you gave him everything. To need to fill the hole he's left when you're ready is an honour to him

MM, that is a great post and as you said what an amazing coincidence on the timing of Rana coming back to the breeder, Henry would be looking down and smiling!

Thanks everyone, today is day 7 and a difficult day. You are all right, this breeder will work in with us I have no doubt and will allow us to take it all in our stride.

Now back to business.......( this has what has kept us going all week - )

More in and more out this week:

    In care
Koda - from WA - ABSOLUTELY DIVINE boy! Little (dwarf) pei lol Dark Red/very light chocolate dilute. 3-4 yrs old. BEAUTIFUL nature!! Fostered with Baby Boo

Declan - Arrives tomorrow from Morwell pound. More info to come. Off to Marilyn & Andy for foster care

    Left for Forever Home:

Lockie - To Jen & Alex and their 2 x kids. Congrats to the happy new family
Rosie - To Veronica & Tony and their adult daughter Andrea. All 4 concerned delighted and now complete
Moby Left today with Will and Sarah. Sarah couldn't stop giggling she was so excited and Moby is SUCH a credit to Netty. He came into care on springs and left us a sensible, happy mature man.

Dare I say, each of these dogs have won doggy lotto. Thanks and Congrats to all concerned.

Cooper and Elwood have now returned from bootcamp at Wellington Kennels. What a sensational job W.Kennels have done with these boys. HIGHLY recommend their boot camp.

Lulu has a really good application on her so stay tuned for her departure too

aw SPRV... Henry's sister... very much a coincidence she turned up now...

Work with the Breeder and when you are ready...

I hope Sarah and Will enjoy the lovely Moby... He was a character... Please keep me posted as to how he is settling in...

And now for the lovely Elwood... He has been helping Ash, my OH, put the new washing line in today... even helping dig the hole for the post... Many laughs all round for us today... He has taken a fancy to a squeaky zebra toy so I have put that aside for Elwood to play with... Elwood has taken himself off to bed in the crate again... Think Cassie has lost he crate for a while... But thats ok she can sleep in the front room if necessary... Photos to come soon...
