Poor babies. It is pretty sad how those young dogs end up like that, like they werent given much of a chance ...then again I can't imagine having a dog for 8.5 years and then deciding to get rid of them as well.

Um...sorry for rambling. Are all those dogs staying with you??

Certainly not rambling Cat, I agree with you! Pretty crappy to give up an old dog, a baby or let your dog starve and cower. But I can't afford to get angry, just have to get on with it!

LOL just seems like they are all staying with me !!!

I have Gomez hidden away downstairs slowly recovering and I have baby Diesel upstairs with my pack. Lockie is with one of my neighbours, Moby is with Netty (on this forum). Elwood has been at the vet for the past week and will probably be there for another week. Jake is with one of our adoptive parents, Cooper is with another foster carer, Lulu is with my son, Koda is still in WA and Jack & Missy are still with their surrendering parents as their in no more room at any of our inns!

Thank you so much for allowing Moby into your home Netty! I do think he is a spunk! I can't get over the staffy smile with the blue tongue and brindle horse coat lol

Gomez is a little brighter today but I will reserve my judgemnt of his future for another week or so. I have no idea how he survived his flight to Melbourne, let alone being desexed the day before.

Lockie had an entropion today to remove 360 degree lids! Ulcers on both eyes more than likely corneal damage. He also has a moderate tear in a cruciate ligament, however given his young age we are going to attempt to treat this with injections over the next few months. He is another long term care boy

Elwood has surgery tomorrow to remove the offensive gland in his eye.

Lulu, Cooper, Diesel & Jake all doing very well and ready for their respective new homes!

You will be happy to know I have all 3 dogs outside today... Moby, Cassie and Buster are the best of friends.

Its great he has now learnt how to play properly 1 week with the Cassie and any dog could learn how to play.

Yesterday he was play bowing and barking at me... LOL cute but not nice when I an putting him outside so I can go to work...

I envy the lucky person who picks him... He has personality by the bucketful

Yay for Moby, Cassie is obviously a wonderful teacher! And Buster is a good sport for allowing Moby in the "circle of trust"

    Default Gomez

I said I would reserve my judgement on this boy for one week to see if we could nurse him back to health.

If there were a symbol for a happy dance I would be putting it in here, damn, am tempted just to take a pic of me doing a happy dance and adding it anyway lol

Gomez went to the vet today. Last Friday when he arrived in Melbourne he weighed in at 17.6kg.......today he was 21.5kg. Gomez is over the worst and on his way to good health and a forever home of his own - now that his physical needs have been addressed, I can now focus on his mental state.

I can't tell you just how relieved I am! This dog is just divine, even though he is another who has obviously been abused.
